Youth Group Lessons

All Echo Ski & Ride School students are separated by discipline (ski or snowboard), age and ability level to promote learning, safety and fun. Lessons are taught by trained instructors that have all passed a criminal background check.

Youth group lessons are offered daily (except Tue*). Youth group lessons are two hours long and are offered at 10:15am, 1:15pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm (3:30pm and 4:30pm not offered on Sundays).

*On select Tuesdays when Echo Mountain is open (12/21, 12/28, 3/15, 3/22, and 3/29), Ski & Ride School offers lessons at 10:15a and 1:15pm.

RESERVATIONS
In order to guarantee space in a lesson, an advanced reservation and pre-payment is required. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space is available. However, classes do fill, especially on weekends and during holidays. Please book early to guarantee your spot.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
A non-refundable payment is taken at the time of reservation. Lessons may be rescheduled a minimum of 24 hours before the reserved start time. NO REFUNDS will be issued and lessons cannot be rescheduled within 24 hours of the reserved start time.

YOUTH SKI LESSONS

Parent & Me Private Lessons 3 year-old skiers & a parent

A one hour lesson to teach your three year old and prepare them for group instruction by age 4. Offered daily (except Tue.) at 10:00am, 11:15am, 1:00pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm (3:30pm and 4:30pm not offered on Sundays)*

  • $65 first parent & child (includes a daily learning center lift ticket)
  • $29 per additional parent or child (includes a daily learning center lift ticket)
  • Add $20 for ski or snowboard rentals per person (includes a helmet)

Discovery Ski Lessons 4 – 6 year-olds
In order to turn little skiers into life long skiers, Echo instructors create FUN lessons catered to your 4-6 year-old’s interests, physical development, and attention span.

Explorers Ski Lessons 7 – 12 year-olds
Older kids have the physical development and learning capacity to learn new skills quickly. Our instructors teach the proper techniques that will help take 7-12 year-old skiers to the next level and keep them safe as they begin exploring more of the mountain.

YOUTH SNOWBOARD LESSONS

Lil’ Rippers Snowboard Experience 5 – 7* year-olds
This new program is designed to provide those little guys and gals, who “really want to snowboard,” have a positive experience on snow. Class size is limited to 3 students so the instructor can provide each student the attention and “hands on” time needed to get them balancing and moving on his/her board.

*7 year old snowboarders may be opt to take the Lil’ Rippers Lesson if there is space available otherwise they will be placed in a Rippers Lesson

CHECK-IN
Please plan to arrive at least one hour early to check-in for your lesson, especially if you’re renting equipment. Lesson check-in may close up to 45 minutes prior to the designated lesson start time. All lessons begin promptly at the designated start time; late arrivals will be moved to a later class time if space is available. Give yourself plenty of time to create the best possible experience by planning accordingly and taking weather into consideration.

Ski & Ride School Overview

The Echo Mountain Ski & Ride School offers affordable learning programs and quality instruction for skiers and riders of all ages and ability levels.

From the basics of skiing and snowboarding for first timers, to intermediate skills for all-mountain enjoyment, to the art of freestyle jumps, jibs and rails, Echo Mountain teaching professionals are committed to providing the skills necessary to build confidence and achieve every student’s skiing and riding goals.

LEARNING AREAS & TERRAIN

Two designated learning areas provide gentle progression terrain ideal for first timers to advanced beginners. Each learning area is complemented with its own surface lift, including a Magic Carpet®, providing the ideal environment for learning the basics and further developing skills.

As skills and confidence are developed, stud

ents will progress to skiing or riding the entire mountain and various terrain features. In order for students to fully enjoy Echo’s terrain, all lessons include terrain park safety and level appropriate freestyle skills.
